Province-wide coverage has a defined limit. The archive contains 37,693 named mayor, councillor, borough-mayor and borough-councillor rows across 2017, 2021 and 2025. Candidate rows cover 1,108 municipal codes across the three files; 1,091 municipalities appear in 2025. Thirty-two current directory municipalities have no rows in these general-election files, including 25 governed under special northern regimes. Separately elected MRC wardens are outside this local-tier archive.
