* Vote share is the candidate’s votes divided by recorded candidate votes for the same office or ward; in a multi-seat race it is not a share of voters. Municipalities administer and publish Nova Scotia elections. A municipality with no candidate rows is a coverage gap, not evidence that no contest occurred. Conseil scolaire acadien provincial contests, plebiscites and contact fields are excluded. Halifax shares use printed candidate-column totals; blank and cancelled-ballot handling can make separate official total-vote fields differ.
